Michel Haas (1934-2019)
Michel Haas is very sensitive to the world around him. City life is one of his main sources of inspiration. His forms - figures, animals, musical instruments - emerge from working with paper mixed with other elements (water, glue, pastel, charcoal, etc.). This work with materials, which places his approach in the tradition of Jean Dubuffet, gives his forms a very lively dimension, with both a strong presence and a great fragility. In a different register, but still linked to paper, Michel Haas is an avid etcher.
