Michel Haas (1934-2019)

Michel Haas is very sensitive to the world around him. The activity of the city is one of his main sources of inspiration. His forms - characters, animals, musical instruments -, emerge from the work of paper mixed with other elements (water, glue, pastel, charcoal, etc.). This work with matter, which places his approach in the tradition of Jean Dubuffet, gives his forms a very lively dimension, both a strong presence and a great fragility. In another register, but always in connection with paper, Michel Haas has a great practice of engraving.
