This figure appears to have been caught in the act, but it is impossible to determine the seriousness of his offence. The artist has captured this man on paper in a moment of tension, legs and hands spread, knees bent, shoulders tensed. Everything suggests that this is a moment of suspense for him, as well as for the viewer.
