La Galerie de l’Institut, formerly Bouquinerie de l’Institut, is a family business run by Marc, Anne-Gaëlle and Yves Lebouc. Specializing in modern prints since 1954, it has recently expanded its activities to include the sale of one-off works.
Our activities
Sales andchat of works of art
The Galerie de l’Institut offers a vast selection of works by the great artists of the 20th century, including Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Joan Miró and Henri Matisse. Specializing in prints, it offers for sale etchings (etchings, aquatints, monotypes, manière noire, etc.) and modern lithographs of the highest quality, as well as illustrated books, also known as livres d’artistes. The Galerie de l’Institut also presents ceramics, tapestries, sculptures, drawings and paintings by these great artists, as well as more confidential ones.
In addition to selling modern works, the Galerie de l’Institut buys works from private individuals and professionals, both in France and abroad.
Expertise
Galerie de l’Institut offers its expertise in the field of modern prints and illustrated books. A family-run business, it draws on the experience of Marc Lebouc, expert at the Paris Court of Appeal, andYves Lebouc, expert at the Compagnie Nationale des Experts.
Exhibitions
The Galerie de l’Institut, formerly the Bouquinerie de l’Institut, has always been committed to presenting the work of artists with whom it has close ties, as well as organizing exhibitions of the great names in modern art. Exhibitions of works by Picasso and Chagall, as well as by Chu Teh Chun, Pierre Sorlier, Jean-Baptiste Sécheret, Jean Leyris, Roger Mühl and Yuri Kuper, to name but a few, have graced the walls of its various spaces in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Most exhibitions are accompanied by a catalog.
