Olivier O. Olivier (1931-2011)

Olivier O. Olivier's work stands on the bangs of the major trends of his time. At a time when the art scene is constantly reinventing itself, he develops a realism made up of improbable encounters. There's always something unexpected in his work, a discrepancy, a shift in meaning that creates a poetry of the unusual and absurd. Olivier O. Olivier's creations take the mind to unusual regions, where humor and playfulness are omnipresent.

There, he studied painting in Raymond Legueult's studio, where he met Roland Topor, with whom he forged a close friendship. Olivier O. Olivier received a classical training that gave him technical mastery of his means of expression. He also studied drawing at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière with Edouard Goerg, whose fantastic graphic universe is close to symbolism.
