Art exhibitions in Paris
Exhibitions at the Galerie de l’Institut are special occasions to promote artists’ work to a wide audience.
The Galerie de l’Institut aims to disseminate the works it exhibits, in particular by publishing catalogs designed for major exhibitions.
These include :
- 2022, Pablo Picasso, Sculptures 1902-1962: more than seventy sculptures created between 1902 and 1962 accompanied by drawings and paintings
- 2022, Henri Matisse, Jazz Le Bon à Tirer: exceptional collection of 20 “bon à tirer” plates, unique copy
- 2014, Picasso, Portraits: some twenty paintings and drawings, some never before shown to the public
- 2013, Picasso , Monotypes More than fifty monotypes by the artist. Only the Musée Picasso in Paris presents such an important collection of monotypes, following the donation made in 1979.
Exhibitions are characterized by the selection of works of the highest quality. These are enhanced by a carefully conceived scenography, which may involve a complete transformation of the galleries. The aim is not to systematically hang lithographs, drawings and paintings side by side, but to find the right balance and dialogue between a drawing and a lithograph, a painting and a sculpture, or even ceramics.
Exhibitions at the Galerie de l’Institut are always a unifying moment that engages all our staff, creating emulation around a common project.
