Autumn exhibition
Exploring the Masters: Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso in the spotlight
The Galerie de l'Institut invites you to its new exhibition from October 14 to November 23, 2024.
The climate of great freedom and intense creativity, the experiments with chance and the dreams of automatic writing had a profound effect on Joan Miró's creative process.
Pablo Picasso, an artist of inexhaustible creativity and exceptional longevity, produced an abundant body of work. He expressed himself brilliantly in all techniques. The Galerie de l'Institut presents an original ballpoint pen drawing from 1951, an original Indian ink from 1932, engravings from the Suite de Vollard and illustrated books.
We invite you to plunge into the world of these two giants of the 20th century, accompanied by an original aquatint by Henri Matisse and ink drawings, preparatory models for Fernand Léger's circus.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Joan Miró, La Fronde, 1969, original aquatint and carborundum on Arches paper, 106 x 70 cm.
