It was in Saint-Tropez, in 1958, that he met Annabel Schwob, singer and actress. They married the same year in Ramatuelle. In 1979, Bernard Buffet chose Saint-Tropez as the backdrop for a series of works centered on his favorite themes. In this original lithograph, Buffet captures the charm of a former fishing village that has become a popular destination for tourists and the international jet-set. Large white yachts trace a bright white line down the center of the composition, while the horizontal lines of water, buildings and boats are energized by the colorful obliques of the boats.
