Miró, Joan, The Mongolian Bird, 1969
Thick black lines cross the print to form the silhouette of a bird. The black, engraved in relief, magnifies the colors used: emerald green, orange, blue, red and yellow. Miro plays again and again with this technique: carborundum etching.
