Dubon

This small box stands out from the background so subtly as to create a trompe-l'oeil effect. The background is transformed by the addition of newspaper, which reinforces the relief effect created by shadows and perspective. Newsprint forms both the background and the object, as it is used for the inside of the box. This evokes the omnipotence of the artist who, through his technique and his perception of reality, can bring out original forms whatever the medium.
