Bernard Buffet's works often include scenes of coastal villages and landscapes with azure glimpses. In this black watercolor print, Bernard Buffet takes up the Tropezian landscape, but in duller tones. In the foreground, the vegetation invites us to discover a picturesque Mediterranean landscape. At the top, the sky, tarnished by these strokes, turns blue-gray, while the stylized mountains support the austerity that emanates from the work and is echoed on a turbulent sea carrying a few sailing boats on its waves.
