Baigneuses à “Tahiti“, an original lithograph by Bernard Buffet, features the vivid colors typical of the artist’s work. Bernard Buffet (1928-1999)
Bernard Buffet élabore une œuvre figurative expressionniste dans cette période de l’après-guerre dominée par l’abstraction. Il met en place une esthétique éminemment graphique caractérisée par des lignées noires très appuyées et un dessin anguleux. Le réseau de hachures, également présent sur les fonds de ses compositions, assure le rôle plastique de lien entre les différents éléments de l’image.
