Picasso, Pablo, Head of a Woman, 1962

Tête de femme is a portrait of Jacqueline, Picasso’s last wife, depicted in a language inherited from Cubism, reconciling face and profile. Portraits/heads of Jacqueline, with their many attributes and attitudes, are the most common theme among the hundred and fifty or so linocuts created by Picasso (see B. Baer n°1213 to n°1361).
