Olivier O. Olivier, Fishing 2, 2008
The activity of fishing is transformed by the artist (as are all the subjects of Olivier O. Olivier’s work) to highlight the feeling the fisherman feels when the fish has bitten and is pulling on the line. The tension and anticipation are heightened tenfold by the direct link between the fishing line and the human fingers; there is no longer the reassuring intermediary of the fishing rod.
