Mühl, Roger, Le Pin, 1976

As his work progresses, Roger Mühl becomes freer, getting to the essence of a landscape, a light, endeavoring to reproduce subjects in the way he has perceived them, with a bright color for some, a prominent shape for others. He is faithful to his intimate perception of reality, which he shares through his painting.

The blue of the sky is very dense, and looks as if it will soon spill over into the rest of the composition. Each color gives the impression of fighting against the others to occupy space as intensely as possible.
