This original lithograph is taken from the book Daphnis et Chlo\u00e9<\/em><\/a> by the ancient author Longus, which Marc Chagall<\/a> spent four years illustrating, from 1957 to 1961. The artist traveled to Greece to immerse himself in the country’s landscapes and light, as well as its architecture – an ancient temple is featured on this lithograph.
